Travel to the meeting

Our aim is to bring together scientist from a variety of backgrounds, all working with biosystematics. Leading experts in several fields will give talks, and we invite you to use this meeting as an opportunity to present and discuss your own research. The meeting is open to anyone interested in biosystematics.

ForBio members presenting their research (oral or poster) will get the costs for travel and accommodation covered.

All attendants are very welcome to present their research, and ForBio members are strongly encouraged to do so.

Prices for best presentations!

The best poster and oral presentation by ForBio members will each be rewarded with a price of 5000 NOK.

Posters

Poster presentations are open to all participants and ForBio members are strongly encouraged to present their research. Poster boards will be provided of a size suitable for A0 portrait (~ 120 x 90 cm). Please submit your abstract here (maximum 250 words please) after you registered. Deadline for abstracts: January 20, 2013.

Oral presentations

Oral presentations are only open to ForBio members. Presenters will have 20 minutes at their disposal (please leave room for questions and discussion). Please submit your abstract here (maximum 250 words please) after you registered. Deadline for abstracts: January 20, 2013.


Social events

Meet and Greet: this is an opportunity to meet and discuss during a simple meal at Quality Hotel 33, March 4 (Monday). The meal is free for all participants but you need to register in advance on the registration page

Conference dinner: the conference dinner will take place at the conference hotel, Quality Hotel 33, March 5 (Tuesday). The dinner is free for all participants but you need to register in advance on the registration page.

Accommodation

ForBio members

ForBio will book and pay for accommodation in double rooms at the conference hotel, Quality Hotel 33, for ForBio members (non-UiO only) that present their research (poster or oral presentation). Please remember to indicate your arrival and departure dates when you register.

If you need accommodation for additional nights you will have to arrange that yourself. If you prefer a single room you have to cover the difference yourself. Single room supplement is Nok 510,- pr night.

ForBio associates and other attendants

ForBio associates and other attendants need to pay their own accommodation and some single and double rooms are reserved at Quality Hotel 33. Please book these rooms on the registration page.

Travel to the meeting

Travel to Oslo

ForBio has arranged with the travel agency HRG to book tickets, and ForBio will cover the cost of return tickets from the home university to Oslo in connection with the annual meeting for presenting ForBio members from other universities than Oslo. Please leave travel details when you register and contact Monica Ness (Monica.Ness@hrgworldwide.com) for bookings.

ForBio associates can book their tickets with HRG but have to pay their travel costs.

All bookings will be done after the registration deadline.

The airport bus Flybusekspressen stops right outside Quality Hotel 33.

Quality Hotel 33 is five minutes walk from the metro stop Risløkka (line 5, blue T in white circle on this map).
