ForBio establishes collaboration with Transmitting Science

Transmitting Science is a Spanish company that organizes specialized courses and workshops related to Systematics, Ecology, Evolution and Statistics. It was founded in 2012 and is currently running about 25 courses per year taught by international leading experts. They offer a mixed portfolio of introductory and advanced courses in a variety of subjects. The courses are highly dynamic and combine lectures, seminars and practical labs.

Transmitting Science shares the main goals of ForBio: to teach new methodologies and to share ideas and debate in order to advance in science, and to train the next generation of scientists. Consequently, we have joined efforts to organize several courses in collaboration on topics that are relevant to the fields of Taxonomy and Systematics.

Collaborative courses will be either be held at Transmitting Science's teaching venues in Sabadell or Hostalets de Pierola near Barcelona or at any of the venues that ForBio uses in Norway or other Scandinavian countries. For these co-organized courses, ForBio will offer members free registration, and travel and accommodation for Norwegian ForBio members.

ForBio will also advertise Transmitting Science courses that are relevant to our members, and will offer registration waivers for participation ForBio members. For more information on Transmitting Science and their courses visit http://www.transmittingscience.org/
